This seminar, convened as part of the Freedom from Violence programme, was the second of two seminars led by Dr Orly Maya Stern focussed on the Somali militant group al-Shabaab. The second session looked at women in al-Shabaab, in order to explore broader issues in gender and countering violent extremism.
